Throughout his career, Dr. Cole has contributed significantly to the field of physiatry through his research and publications. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as The Journal of Immunology, and he has presented his findings at national conferences, including the Association of Academic Physiatrists.

In addition to his clinical and research achievements, Dr. Cole is dedicated to community service and mentorship. He has volunteered with organizations such as MedZou and Big Brothers Big Sisters, demonstrating his commitment to improving community health and well-being.

As Chief Medical Officer for American Physiatry, Dr. Cole oversees clinical operations and program development. Dr. Cole continues to champion excellence in rehabilitative care, integrating evidence-based practices with compassionate patient management. His leadership and dedication are instrumental in improving outcomes for elderly and rehabilitation patients, making a lasting impact on the field of physiatry.

Mark Nath is an entrepreneur and healthcare executive who co-founded American Physiatry alongside Dr. James Cole. As Co-Founder and CEO, he has helped lead the company’s growth through disciplined execution, clinical excellence, innovation, and strong facility partnerships.

Mark’s leadership style is hands-on, approachable, and people-centered. He believes strong teams are built on trust, open communication, accountability, and mutual respect, with people working candidly and collaboratively toward shared goals. Mark is passionate about improving healthcare delivery and creating lasting value for patients, providers, and healthcare partners.

When he’s not working, Mark can often be found on the tennis court, hiking, traveling, or exploring new places. He enjoys staying active, discovering new experiences, and taking time to recharge outside of work. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and making the most of their time together.

Abe Moser joined American Physiatry as Vice President of Sales, where he leads the company’s growth and expansion efforts in providing specialized physiatry services to skilled nursing facilities. With a wealth of experience in sales leadership, Abe brings a unique blend of healthcare industry knowledge, strategic vision, and a proven track record of success in driving business growth.

Abe has forged long-lasting partnerships with a wide range of healthcare groups across the country, with an emphasis on cultivating long-term relationships. Prior to joining American Physiatry, he served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Tapestry Health, where he led the expansion of the enterprise team on the East Coast and was instrumental in securing large, strategic accounts across the region. He has also held senior leadership positions in the healthcare tech sector, driving significant growth at Global Tech to support a vast network of healthcare facilities. Abe’s expertise in building client relationships and implementing customer success programs has enabled him to achieve impressive growth milestones in competitive markets.

In his free time, Abe is an active volunteer at the local EMS corp, where he has gained firsthand insight into the avoidable hospital transfers that skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients often face. This experience has strengthened his commitment to improving care and outcomes for patients in long-term care settings.

Abe is deeply committed to the mission of American Physiatry, bringing his leadership expertise and passion for improving care in the senior healthcare sector. By combining his extensive experience with a commitment to the well-being of SNF patients, Abe works to foster lasting partnerships that drive positive change within the healthcare industry.

David Larsen is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning family medicine, correctional healthcare, and post-acute medicine. Throughout his career, he has been committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while helping improve outcomes for individuals with complex medical needs.

Before joining American Physiatry, David practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in both family medicine and post-acute care. His career also includes six years as a corrections nurse and nine years of service in the U.S. Army National Guard, experiences that shaped his leadership style, resilience, and commitment to service.

Outside of work, David enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, search and rescue, and spending time outdoors with his wife and children.

Marc Euler is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning Emergency medicine, Urgent care and Ortho trauma. Throughout his career, he has been committed to providing patient-centered care while helping improve outcomes for individuals with complex medical needs.

Before joining American Physiatry, Marc practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in Ortho trauma and Urgent care settings. His prior career experiences include 4 years military in the U.S. Coast Guard, 13 years as a police officer with Indianapolis Police Department and 5 years as an Emergency Room nurse.

Michelle De Castro is the Director of People and Operations at American Physiatry, where she leads the company’s talent acquisition, and operational initiatives to support continued growth and exceptional patient care. With a passion for building strong teams and sustainable processes, Michelle focuses on creating an engaging workplace culture that empowers employees to thrive while driving organizational success.

Drawing on her background in healthcare and human resources, Michelle brings a collaborative, people-first approach to leadership. She is dedicated to developing high-performing teams, fostering meaningful employee experiences, and building the infrastructure that enables American Physiatry to deliver outstanding care to the communities it serves.

When she’s not helping build high-performing teams, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and can often be found saying, “Just one more chapter,” before getting lost in a good book.

Brian S. Colonna, MHL, CHC, CHPC, CHRC, serves as Chief Compliance Officer for American Physiatry and is a healthcare compliance and privacy executive with more than 13 years of experience leading compliance, privacy, audit, investigations, and risk programs across complex healthcare organizations. His expertise includes physician practice compliance, HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback, fair market value, physician compensation, regulatory investigations, and healthcare privacy.

Brian has extensive experience supporting large-scale post-acute, hospital, and physician practice operations. He is recognized for translating complex regulatory requirements into practical policies, education, auditing, monitoring, and risk-mitigation strategies while partnering closely with executives, physicians, operational leaders, Legal, and clinical teams.

A frequent speaker and published subject-matter expert, Brian has presented at national healthcare compliance conferences and contributed to industry publications on physician compensation, fair market value, medical directorships, and emerging healthcare technology. He holds a Master of Healthcare Leadership and certifications in Healthcare Compliance, Healthcare Privacy Compliance, and Healthcare Research Compliance.

Dr. James Cole is a highly accomplished physiatrist specializing in rehabilitative medicine within Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where he excelled academically and was actively involved in research and community service. Dr. Cole furthered his training with an Internal Medicine internship at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University Consortium, followed by a rigorous residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the same institution, where he served as Chief Resident and Director of Quality Improvement.
